Semi de Paris…What I’ll be Wearing
In just three days, I will take to the streets of Paris with my awesome crew, Team Bangs on the Run, to pound the pavements for 13.1 miles in the Paris Half Marathon. Excitamacation reigns!
Wearing the right gear is tres important (do you like how I threw a lil Francais in there? I’m brushing up). You’ve gotta feel comfortable to be able to run at your best, so above is what I’ll be donning on the day. Details below!
T Shirt: The infamous Team Bangs on the Run T Shirt will be worn by all the ladies in the team, so you won’t miss us! Nike kindly donated the T Shirts and Shock Absorber covered the printing costs. My wonderful Twitter friend Larysa Kucak created many designs for us and we settled on this one. It’s simple, yet effective. The number on the back of every shirt is ’1′, because we’re all number 1 on this team – that’s just how we roll. The logo was designed by the delightful @studiopixie.
Hoodie: This awesome hoodie was made for me by Toyan of Vinyl Vandals and I freakin’ love it! I’ll be wearing that to keep warm before and after the race. Just in case anyone didn’t know I’m Bangs and a Bun, this hoodie really hammers the point home. On the back it says ‘Run this town, Paris’. LOVE. IT!
Trainers: I had these Nike iD shoes made a few weeks ago (I talked all about the process here). The trainer style is called ‘LunarGlide’ and they are super comfy to run in. It doesn’t show up too well on the pic but on the right tongue it says ‘Bangs’ and the left one says ‘Bun’ – clearly, I’m going for a bit of a theme here.
So that’s how I’ll be stylin’ on Sunday. I can’t wait for race day to roll around now. I feel ready and psyched. LET’S DO THIS!
Team Bangs on the Run have raised over £5000 so far for Refuge. There’s still time for you to donate and it’s scientifically proven that your pennies will make us run faster, so please give generously. www.justgiving.com/teambangsontherun
