Bangs... I 100% love this piece that you wrote... Its very Witty, Entertaining & all around TRUE...

We women cannot expect others to respect us or take us seriously if we do not first respect & take ourselves seriously. And with that, we must gi the extra mile to make ourselves look and feel good. Wearing matching underwear is only 1 of many examples of how we can achieve such.

As for the unhappy commentary, isn't funny how people complain about the things they have COMPLETE control over while behaving like sheep when comes to things they PERCEIVE to be out if their control...

Wanna know what turns a man off? Ask one... Its women who behave & present themselves in a masculine & negative light. The women who don't see looking their very best as a form of foreplay... if you have a man, you darn sure better be concerned about keeping your body as sharp and on point as your mind & tongue... for people, men specifically, are drawn to women who are confident, poised, & as mentally stimulating as they are physically ...

Again, great piece!!!

Dear Bangs,

I have been tossing around an idea to start a blog to discuss feminism as it ought to be. After reading this post, I finally got off the proverbial fence, and got to it. I want to give you a hearty hurrah for this post. I agree with everything that you wrote, though a few personal touches I did want to mention. As far as the grooming, I do believe there are a few times when these impeccable standards can be lessened a degree. I saw someone post about her man thinking she's still beautiful first thing in the morning, before she's had a chance to make herself presentable. I believe, the reason many men find us to be so attractive in this state, is because it's a side that really belongs only to them, and perhaps to your children. I don't think we ought to be waking up before our men just to make sure we don't look like we've just rolled out of bed. Also, when we're under the weather, I think these standards ought to be lessened until we're feeling more like ourselves again. Please allow me to thank you once more for this post. I intend to come by and visit when my time allows, because you're such a peach. That is all for now, my lovely.

It's easy to find sexy bikinis that provide less coverage once you are ready to continue to that step. Don't start too fast and only wear a swimsuit that you are relaxed in.

If this is considered anti-feminist, I will gladly accept that label. Bangs and a Bun, I commend you for such an insightful post.

Hi Buns,

Nice work, however, I disagree about the clean knickers in case you get hit by a bus part. If you were to be hit by a bus, you would shit yourself. In which case, clean knickers would be rendered null and void. :-)

Everything else I completely agree with.

Love it! I feel better about myself now. I thought I wasn't a lady. Alot of what you said above I have always done. Thanks for reiterating what I already knew. I guess it is high time for me to go shopping. Need to get the matching undergarments. I usually leave the pretty, uniform knickers to the dates or when I am going out. I'll change immediately.

ZOE - Actually Zoe, I never have been drunk in public because I don't drink, I choose to do my make up in bathrooms and the majority of the time I do wear dresses, but that's just me. This post is my own personal opinion, because guess what? Shock of shockers, this is MY blog. I conduct myself in this way, but quite frankly, I couldn't give two craps what other people choose to do with their lives. I think the fact that you got offended by it says more about you than it does about the post itself. Since you've clearly never read my blog before, a) I wouldn't expect you to vote for me for the Cosmo Blog Awards and b) voting's closed now anyway so it really doesn't make a difference.

how kind of you bangs, to prescribe how other women should live in such a judgemental way. I take it you yourself have never ever been drunk in public, slipped a quick bit of lippy on in the bus before a meeting, and do you go around wearing Grace Kelly outfits on a daily basis? they are very beautiful but I think you'll find they're quite restrictive and probably quite impractical when commuting. If women take pleasure in wearing matching underwear and staying groomed, that's fine, but most of what you're talking about is the superficial things in life. what about more important things, like being kind? thinking about the world around you? thinking about your children if you've got them or your degree or your ambitions, instead of worrying about making sure your underwear matches.

def won't be voting for you on the cosmo blg awards.
