Oh man. Are you my twin? Because you have just written up the exact ingredients I’m currently using in my new evening class – Man Alchemy 101. Only problem is, I keep coming up with a tiny humourless frog, instead of something wonderful.

OK, I rarely Bible-thump. Considering my “proper, Southern upbringing,” you all should be thankful.
Go with me here. Humor me, dammit!
In the Bible, somewhere, it says “when a MAN FINDETH a wife, HE FINDETH a good thing.”
Like all “good Christians,” I’m gonna take what applies to me and leave the rest. If he’s supposed to do the finding, we should sit our asses down and wait to be found. This requires patience. Patience is a virtue – that I don’t have.
Do I ‘practice what I preach?’ Hell no. But who does?!
Hmm, that makes my whole point moot, huh?
