My Life List


This is my 100th post – woo hoo! In honor of this momentous event, I decided to write a life list (they’re all the rage right now, if you didn’t know). Everything on this list has been swilling around my head forever, so it was interesting to actually see them all written down.

1. Learn to speak French, well
2. Live in Brazil
3. Live in Ghana
4. Do what I love (write) and be paid for it
5. Have my own radio show
6. Be an image consultant
7. Live in Paris
8. Go to Machu Picchu
9. Take a photography class
10. Get back into dance and perform
11. Learn to drive
12. Start to play piano again
13. Go horse riding
14. Go skinny dipping
15. Ride an elephant
16. Volunteer in a remote part of the world
17. Write a book
18. Publish an article in national newspapers in both Canada and England
19. Buy my parents a house
20. Send my parents on a vacation to Malaysia (my mother’s birth place)
21. Trace my family tree as far back as possible
22. Go to a Stevie Wonder concert
23. See the pyramids in Egypt
24. Marry and have children
25. Learn to cook well
26. Get over my various food phobias
27. Wear red lipstick
28. Never become corporate
29. Rediscover my faith
30. Fall truly, madly, deeply in love
31. Own my own home
32. Buy ridiculously expensive bed sheets
33. Make nice gifts for my friends
34. Raise money for a good cause
35. March in a protest
36. Go salsa dancing in Cuba
37. Give blood
38. Watch a sunset with the man I love
39. Dance in the rain
40. Buy art
41. Be self-employed
42. Be an inspiration to someone
43. Get a full body massage
44. Own a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes
45. Finally watch The Big Lebowski (which my brother has been telling me to watch for years)
46. Hear Chuck Palaniuk do a book reading
47. Try kick boxing
48. Go to a casino in Vegas
49. Eat at the restaurant at the top of the CN Tower
50. Have a walk-in closet
51. Do pilates on those weird machines that look like some ancient form of torture
52. Buy a bike and ride to work daily
53. Stress less
54. Make someone smile every day
55. Write letters (on actual paper)
56. Start a scrap book
57. Recycle everything properly and encourage others to do so
58. Pose as a life model
59. Take more pictures
60. Read more of the classics
61. Go to an NBA basketball game
62. Learn to knit
63. Go sky diving
64. Adopt a child
65. Take evening courses in anything that interests me and/or do another degree
66. Own a book store
67. Eat healthier and exercise more
68. Have a nutritionist

I’m not sure if people make these things in lists of 100, but I think it’s clear I have enough on my plate.
